AUCKLAND SOLICITOR CASE OF T. H. WOOD [BY telegraph—PßESS association] WELLINGTON, "Wednesday On the application of the New Zealand Law Society the Court of Appeal to-day made an order striking Thomas Henry Wood, of Auckland, off the rolls of practising barristers and solicitors of the Dominion. Wood was ordered not to apply for readmission for at least five years. Counsel for the Law Society stated that Wood had a very brilliant scholastic record, obtaining his LI.M. degree with first-class honours in 1924 and a travelling scholarship in law in 1928. After studying law in England he re- ! turned to New Zealand and was readmitted to his partnership. Defalcations amounting to £lO2, extending over the last five months of 1932, had been admitted by Wood. No loss had been sustained by clients, as the amount of defalcations had been refunded by Wood's partner.
