Apparently the conference was still some distance off and a good deal would depend upon the results of preliminary consultations between the principal Powers, particularly those now in progress between the Gov ernments of Britain and the United States. He had no doubt that when arrangements took Inore definite shape New Zealand would be promptly advised con corning them.
