PRISON FOR VAGRANCY

[from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday A sentence of one month's imprisonment was imposed on Charles Haughey, an elderly man, by Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court to-day for vagrancy. Constable Callaghan gave evidence that he saw accused accosting people in the street and asking them for money. Accused had nothing to say.
