CANTERBURY MARKETS A VERY QUIET WEEK [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCRURCH, Friday Tins week has been a very quiet one. Little interest has been manifested so far from the North Island in any branch of produce. The demand for fowl wheat was activo for a few days, but has now quietened. Prices arc set at 2s - f.o.b., sacks extra, for prompt delivery and 33 3d fo.b. for spread. Offerings from farmers aro not. so free ah previously. Millers have been buying milling wheftt with a good deal of freedom and their storage accommodation is becoming filled. Quotations for potatoes on trucks range about 32s 6d a ton.

Oats are still lacking inquiry and chaff is in the same position. The nominal quotation for chaff is £3 a ton f.0.b.. sacks extra.

Cowgrass seed is commencing to come in. It is of good quality and is quoted at up to 7jd per lbj
