GREENHOUSES ROBBED
A SUCCESSFUL fIGIL Following ii number of greenhouse robberies recently in Gonville, Wanganui, Constable H. Sergeant and Mr. Cvitanovich, the owner of a greenhouse, sat up last Thursday night to await the possible arrival of intruders. Their vigil was regarded and three men, who entered to iob the house, wfere surprised. Two were caught, the third escaping. Detective J. Murray and Constable E. Christmas investigations next morning, and the third man was eventually arrested and the tno brought before Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.i 1., at the Magistrate's Court at Wanganui. .Convictions were entered against them and they were ordered to pay a fine of £3 and to make restitution. Suppression oLnames was allowed.
