ATTRACTIVE SPLASH BOARD
You take, no doubt, a great pride in the arrangement of your bedroom. One of the chief is the wash-stand, which, if it has tiled or marbled, back, is apt to look shabby. If your stand should have a wooden back, or no back at. all, fit an arrangement as follows: Get the local picture-frame dealer to make you a fram© as long as the wash-stand, and about lOin. to 12in. high. Select a cheap moulding that has but little ornamentation. When 4 it is ready, give it a coat of paint to match either the stand or the predominating colour in the room, and an soon as it is dry fit behind the glass a piece of jazz cretonne, preferably in pleats. This will make a nice splash of colour in the room. Either hang the frame on the wall directly behind the stand, or fit it to the uprights of the washstand by means of little brass ears and suitable screws
