POSITION IN OTAGO NO IMPROVEMENT SHOWN.' [by telegraph—press association] DUNEDIN, Tuesday The position in regard to unemployed Otago teachers is much the same as last year. The total without permanent employment is 192, of whom 128 were on the register last year, 64 being added from the training college and other sources.
A total of 96 teachers has been placed temporarily and it is anticipated that unemployed teachers will receive from five to seven months' work during the year. As the year advances fully one-third will receive permanent appointments.'
