MOTOR-CARS COLLIDE
ONE FALLS INTO RIVER OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY [BY telegraph—OWN correspondent] WAIHI, Tuesday Two motor-cars, driven respectively .by Messrs. C. M. Hughes and A. Furze, both of Waihi, collided last evening at Waikino, near the railway crossing. Mr. Hughes' car, which was conveying two friends as passengers, went over a bank, falling 20ft. into the river, which is not deep at this point. The occupants escaped without serious injury. Neither car was badly damaged.
