SLIP ON RAILWAY
NORTH LINE AT WOODCOCKS BLOCKAGE SOON CLEARED As a result of heavy rain, a small landslip occurred near Woodcocks Tunnel, on the main north line, three miles south of Kaipara Flats, at about four o'clock yesterday afternoon. The line was cleared in about a quarter of an hour and no trains were delayed. Heavy rain continued in the vicinity during the evening and, as there was heavy stock traffic on the line, railway officials kept a keen watch in case other slips occurred. However, at a late hour last evening it was reported that the line was still clear and that there had been no further slips.
