PLAZA THEATRE
The directing genius of Walter Fordo, who was responsible for the Gainsborough production, "The Ghost Train," has ample scope in "The Ringer," which will be shown for tho last time at the Plaza Theatre tn-day. Almost everyone has i-ead tho Edgar Wallace novel, "The Gaunt Stranger," from which the talking him was adapted, and it has lost none of the writer's verve in its translation to the screen. The novel was also successful as a play when it was presented in dramatic form at Wyndham's Theatre, London. Undei tho title of "The Ringer" it ran for 51 weeks. The cast of the talking film includes such talented English players as Franklyn Dyall, Gordon Harker and John Longden. "When London Sleeps" will be shown at the theatre to-morrow.
