TWO CHRISTCHURCH MEN PENALTIES OF £4O AND £SO [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday Charged with taking bets at the Addington trotting meeting on Saturday, Thomas Henry Ownes, 35, motor-driver, was yesterday fined £4O. Arthur Reginald Walker, 37, engineer, was fined £SO. Iho police stated that for some time the accused had been known as bookmakers in a small way.
