DAY SPENT !N CITY FURTHER ACTIVITIES TO-DAY An active day was spent in Auckland yesterday by the party of pablic school boys who have commenced aionr of New Zealand. The first part of the morning was spent at Bishopscourt, where the lads were welcomed by the Trimate, Archbishop Averill, and entertained for * while. His Grace gave the visitors an informal address.

From Bishopscourt the party was conducted to the New Zealand Herald building and shown the wide variety of plant used in the production o! a • paper and in the ramifications of general printing work. Keen interest was taken by the boys in the explanations of the more technical details of the plant. After lunch several members of the partyvisited the Devonport naval base and were entertained on board the cruiser Dienrtde. The evening was spent at a dance arranged for the party by Mr. and Mi's. jAfc- ■< M THs D ' morning the Auckland War Memorial Museum will be visited. curator, Mr. Gilbert Archey, will address the partv on " Maori History, Past Present." From the museum tlw will be motored to One Tree Hill, Mine °i, the oars being provided by membersijjj the Auckland Rotary Club.
