NO CASES FOR TRIAL FREEDOM AT CHRISTCHURCH [by TELEGRAPH —rRESS association] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday In his charge to the grand jury at the opening of the criminal session of the Supreme Court to-day, Mr. Justice Reed said it was remarkable that there were no charges arising out of injury or of death in motor-car accidents.
" I fear I can hardly believe that this is an indication that all motorists have reformed," said His Honor, " but the fact is there are no charges of that nature."
His Honor added that there were no cases of direct violence and that waa also a matter for satisfaction.
