TRADE WITH CANADA
DIRECT SHIPPING SERVICE DENIAL OF SUSPENSION [by telegraph—own correspondent] WELLINGTON, Monday A denial of tho report that its dii?cfc service between Canada-and New Zealand has been suspended is made by the Canadian National Steamship Company. The report is stated to be due to the Canadian Victor being diverted to Australia before coming to New Zealand. This course was taken because of there being more cargo in Australia than the regular ship can carry.
The Canadian Cruiser, on the coast-, and the Canadian Constructor, due at Auckland on March 26, are additional to the regular monthly service. The Canadian Scottish is coming from Halifax to NeW Zealand direct.
