MAORI INFANT'S DEATH
CORONER'S ADVICE TO PARENTS [BY TEMCCIUVH—OWN < 01! RESI'ON'DBNT ] THAMES, Thursday An inquest was held to-day at Puriri before the coroner, Mr. W. Bongard, into the death of a Maori infant Rangimana Pakerc. aged 15 months, who died at Puriri last evening. The evidence showed the child had been in the Thames Hospital last winter, but was discharged some time ago. No doctor had been called on this occasion. The coroner in retunrng a verdict that death was from natural causes ndvised the parents to abstain in future from treating sick children themselves and in their own way and to call in the native nurse.
