STRIKE COLLAPSES
LONDON BUS EMPLOYEES MEN RETURN TO WORK LONDON, Jan. 23 The strike of the London motor-bus drivers and conductors has ended, and all the men are to resume work at midnight. Earlier reports stated that men at several garages were returning unconditionally to work. The strike was called as a protest against the new agreement as to schedules of work. The men's union repudiated the strike as a breach of "the agreement and because it ignored all conciliation machinery. About 25 per cent of the strikers resumed work this morning, and hundreds of others returned to duty during the day.
