THE TROTTING MEETING

LIGHT SUMMER FROCKS ATTRACTIVE STYLES WORN Frocking at the second day of the Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting at Alexandra Park yesterday repeated the light and attractive note which was evident on the first day of the meeting, and some very charming effects were to be seen. The fine weather made the choice of apparel an easy matter, light silk suits and frocks being worn extensively- In colours white was again prevalent, while blue in its varying shades was also popuar with a large number of the women race patrons. The excessively wide-brimmed hats were very much in the minority, although "there were some very charming picture hats to be seen.

Brown, wine georgette frock with an ermine stole a Jiff navy straw hat; Mrs. A. G. Mabee, apple green floral satin suit and white Panama hat; Mrs. Claude Horton, terra cotta Shantung suit with a small black Bangkok hat; Mrs. G. R. McMillan, corncoloured floral linen frock and primrose straw hat; Mrs. Atkinson, ravenswing blue crepe de chine frock and black Bangkok hat; Mrs.. E. M. Honeyfield, cocoabrown suit and small brown straw hat; Mrs. Carr, navy and white patterned georgette suit with a navy Bangkok hat; Mrs. Norman Burton, cherry and brown figured crepe de chine frock and brown Bangkok hat; Mrs. L. G. Hitchings, black (suit with a beige silk vest and beige, Ballibuntal hat; Mrs. W. C. Ring, navy and light blue patterned suit and white Panama hat; Mrs. M. Mrs. Hugh Bailey (London) wore a royal blue and white spotted crepo de chine suit and white hat wreathed with flowers; Mrs. A. Henwood, black satin frock and black Bangkok liat; Mrs. W. Massey, powder blue organdie frock, and wide-brimmed blue crinoline hat to %iatch; Mrs. Noel Airey, royal blue frock with a red and white crepe de chine collar and white felt hat: Mrs. F. W. Farquhar, blue floral Shantung suit and cherry straw hat; Miss Brenda Brown, silver grey crepe de chine suit and grey silk hat to match; Miss Dunster. white spun silk frock and wide-brimmed black Bangkok hat; Miss Garland, beige frock and small maize-coloured straw hat ; Miss M.
