Vincent last evening:— Moderate tropical depressions continue to cross tho northern Tasman Sea, while barometric pressure remains Ijigh over most of the Dominion, with an area of relatively low pressure in tho north. Indications favour a continuance of chiefly fair to fine weather generally,, although there will be scattered showers in North Auckland and east coast districts. Easterly to north-easterly winds, moderate to ' strong, freshening, particularly in tho north. Fairly rough seas on tlio east coast, especially northward of East Cape; smooth to moderate seas on tho west coast. Local outlook: Fair to cloudy, with warm and humid conditions. GOVERNMENT REPORT The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—An gmti-cyclone covers the Dominion to-day, its centre being off the oast coast. A rather steep depression is" situated on the western side of the Tasman Sea. Indications are for modorate and variable winds, but northerlies soon prevailing and gradually freshening. Seas smooth to moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea, northerly winds, freshening and becoming strong in tho southern portion.. Seas moderate, but rising. The weather will be fair to fine generally, with rising temperatures, cloud increasing soon, however, in western districts and rain developing later from* Taranaki southward and in the Far North and south.
