MOUNT ALBERT SCHOOL

THE NEW HEADMASTER [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, "Wednesday Advice has been received that Sir. E. F. Snell, headmaster of the Pukekohe school during the last nine years, has been appointed headmaster of the Mount Albert school, where he will, take charge at the beginning of the new school year,: During his term at Pukekohe the school grounds, comprising 9£ acres, have been laid out in playing fields, war memorial avenue, agricultural plots and lawns, while sand trays have bean provided for fjta younger children. Mr. Snell was previously in charge o! the Whakatane school for 11 years, during which period it was made a district high school. He has also been headmaster at Hukerenui, North Auckland, and Otara, near Opotibi, and "secondary department assistant at the Opotiki District High School. He received his training as a pupil teacher at- the Devonport school.
