CATHEDRAL ROBBED
CRIMINAL GANG CAUGHT BELGIAN CONSTABLE'S RUSE (Received December 6, 5.35 p.m.) BRUSSELS. Dec. 5 The police were baffled by the theft of several million marks' worth of art treasures from the Sakingen Cathedral at Treves until they saw a woman with a dress made of altar vestments. A constable attired in a woman's dress deceived a male suspect and gained entrance to a flat in Brussels. There he found the .whole of the stolen treasure, and in addition a plant coining five mark pieces, in the making of which the church silver had been utilised. The police now have captured (lie entire gang the members of which are suspected of a lc>ng series of robberies from German museums. — '— I
