PAPATOETOE CLUB'S EVENTS The Papatoetoe Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club continued its series of evening points meetings last evening. Ideal conditions prevailed arid fr.st times were recorded in the cycle events. The running events resulted as follows: 440Yds.—W. Bent, 20yds, 1; li. Littler, 16yds, 2; S. Bradley, 20yds, 3; R. Mcßetli, 9yds, 4. Time, 11 4-ss. Two cycle handicaps were decided. Eleven started in the half-mile race, which resulted as follows:—First heat: O. White, 55yds, 1; E. D. Andrews, 25yds, 2: I. C. Bellini, 25yds, 3; S. Pinfold, 15yds, 4. Time, G3 3-ss. Second heat: S. G. Webster, 30yds, 1; D. X. Pinfold. 25yds. 2; A. Pinfold, 55yds. 3: R. Alexander, 70yds, 4. Time, 66- l-ss. Final: | O. White. 1; S. G. Webster. 2: E. D. Anj drews. 3; S. Pinfold, 4. Won by inches, | with the four placed riders almost abreast i at the line. Time, 65 l-ss. j The three miles race over IS laps of tho 1 banked track was a splendid race and the I 11 starters lmd bunched at three and a-h.ilf j hips to go. The successful riders were:—D. j N. At tho bell for the final lap White led, | but on the back straight Bellini and Pinj fold drew level and in the short homa | straight of 40yds the latter two fought out. I a wheel-to-wlieel finish.
