SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
ORGANISATION IN ITALY For obvious reasons there cannot yet bo a real world Soccer championship, says an English writer. A tournament described as the World Soccer Cup competition is being organist to take place in Italy' in ~ ut ' as Great Britain and most of the other countries with first-class teams will be absentees, the "world" title seems a. bit ambitious. The last tournament of this kind was held in South America, and a small group of teams went over from Europe. Germany may also organise a , a " competition in connection With the Olympic Games at Berlin in 1936, but it ms recognised that this will not be representative unless Great Britain decides to participate.
