ARREARS IN RATES
POSITION AT GLEN EDEN The problem of collecting arrears of rates for the hist five years was the subject of discussion at a meeting of the Glen Eden Toivn Board, The clerk, Mr. 11. Cror.cher, estimated that the arrears totalled £2OBI, made up as follows: 1931, £1000; 1930, £512; 1929, £344: 1923, £189; aid 1927, £36. It was resolved that the clerk gather information concerning all outstanding rates in which the board was covered by judgment summons, also-information concerning those rates outstanding over the whole period lor which no judgment summons had been obtained.;
