CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH Auckland.—There was a continuation of unsettled south-westerly weather yesterday. Showers were experienced in tho morning, bnt the afternoon and evening were fine. The barometer rose slightly during the day and registered 29.90 m. last night. Wellington.—The weather was bright, warm and sunny yesterday. There was a light breeze from the north. Christchurch.—The weather was warm with passing clouds, and a heavy shower of rain fell in the evening. The wind varied from west to north-east and then to the south-west.
