Sir. —In view of a probable increase in the number of unemployed persons, conSequent upon the curtailment of public works expenditure, the low prices for primary products, and the J act that over 7000 boys are added annually to the industrial population, may i suggest the formation of an industrial parliament with deliberative and advisory functions only—to confer and consider the rationing and apportionment of output in all practicable directions? With this I would suggest to the Mayufacturcrs' Association", the Land Settlement League, the Boys' Employment Committee, the ('hamber of Commerce and other interested bodies, that a conference he held immediately and continuously to devise measures calculated to distribute employment as widely as possible. Farm labour centainly requires reorganisation. K.N.I).
