NINETY-SECOND BIRTHDAY
MR. G. CLARK, OF CAMBRIDGE [FROM our own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Monday A well-known resident of Cambridge, Mr. George E. Clark, celebrated his 92nd birthday to-day. Mr. Clark, who is founder of the firm of G. E. Clark and Sons, of Cambridge. Hamilton and Waharoa, enjoys good health. Mr. Clark, who was born iu Cambridgeshire, England, came to New Zealand in 1886, and three years later purchased a farm of 300 acres at Pukeroro for 50s an acre, a property that is now one of the finest parts of "the Cambridge district. Subsequently Mr. Clark increased his holding to 600 acres, and lie farmed successfully for 27 years, when he established his business in Cambridge. Mr. Clark has always taken an active interest in agricultural matters, and was organiser of the original Waikato Farmers' Club. He was a member of the Waikato County Council for six years, of the Cambridge Road Board for several years, aud is an active member of the Waikato Central Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Mr. Clark was also a member of the Cambridge Borough Council.
The family gathered at the resident# of Mr. Clark's daughter, Mrs. A. W. Gane, at Cambridge, on Saturday, to calebrate Mr. Clark's birthdav.
