ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
ALLOCATION TO WELLINGTON
NO TEAMS FROM OVERSEAS

WELLINGTON, Tuesday
At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association it was decided that no oversea teams be invited to visit the Dominion this coming season. A scries of resolutions wore passed affirming the good will of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to the New Zealand Cycling Federation, and setting up a committee to act on the association's behalf to any extent it might think expedient. The track and field championships for the 1933-54 season wero allocated to and accepted by the Wellington Centre, and the New Zealand cross country championships of 1933 to the West Coast (North Island) Centre. \ The following oflicers were elected« Patron, the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe; prosident, Mr. R. W. McVilly; vicepresidents, Messrs. .J. P. Ivalaugher (Auckland), F. W. Asher (Wellington), O. H. Cross (Canterbury), and E. I. Macassey (Olago); treasurer, Mr. L. A. Tracey; auditor, Mr. G. T. Kellaway.
