THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday morning to preside, as Grand Master, at the annual communication of the Grand Lodge of the Masons of New Zealand, which will open to-day. His Excellency is at the Northern Club and will return to Wellington by train to-morrow x evening.
Lord Bledisloe visited the exhibition of
photographs by Mr. Chance, of Dunedin, at the rooms of the Auckland Society of Arts yesterday morning. He expressed admiraTion of the high standard of work and purchased three photographs, "The Labourer of the Field," " Sentinels of the Lake" and " The Day's Work Over."
