MANGERE EAST
The annual bazaar and Christmas tree held under tho auspices of the Ladies' Guild of tho Mangere East Selwyn Church attracted a largo attendance in the Matigcro East Hall on Saturday afternoon and evening. Mrs. S. Ilain, president of the guild, was in charge of the' arrangements and the various stalls were controlled as follows:—Sewing, Mesdames Hain, Newson, A. Prangley and Monteath; tearoom, Mesdames Norie and Cole; cakes, Mesdames Cutfield and Blandford; confectionery, Mrs. Tunnell, Misses B. Newson and D. Blandford; produce, Mesdames W. Massey, Key, Broadfoot and Miss Timms; Christmas tree, Mesdames G. Massey, Studd and Matthews; amusements, Rev. Palmer and Mr. M. Nash. Guessing competitions were won by Messrs. W. Massey, D. Kay, A. Newson, Mrs. H. Coghlan and Miss Rugg. During the evening the hall was' partly cleared and dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by Mesdames W. Massey, A. Saussey and Miss M. Blandford.
