PENNANT BOWLING

SECOND ROUND DECIDED

RESULTS OF SATURDAY'S PLAY

POSITIONS AND PERCENTAGES

Tho second round of the Auckland Bowling Centre's pennant competition was played on Saturday in fine weather nnd on l.cener greens than those experienced the previous week. A fairly strong and at times Rusty wini spoilt what would havo been otherwise perfect conditions. In section A Carlton, the former leader, ] )fl s been displaced by Grey Lynn, which had the very fine record of nine wins out of ten games.

In section B another possible percentage by New Lynn enables that club to head the ]ist easily from its next nearest opponont, Heleniville, which did not havo such a good record on this occasion. West End, with eight wins out of ten games, is still well in the running. Both Hillsborough and Henderson have dropped back, and Onehunga has come forward to fourth position.
