CONCILIATION FAILS
COOKS AND STEWARDS
HOURS AND WAGES DISPUTED

WELLINGTON. Wednesday
Tho marine cooks and stewards' dispute was again before tho Conciliation Commissioner, to-day. Several machinery clauses were agreed to, but no agreement was reached 011 hours or wages. A motion that the dispute be referred to the Court was lost. The commissioner will notify the clerk of awards of his failure to effect a settlement, and a month later the award will expire.
