VAGRANCY CHARGE
ENGINEER REMANDED 'A charge of being an incorrigible rogue Vas denied by Sydney William Morris, aged 44, engineer (Mr. Cocker), in tho Court on Saturday. Evidence was given by two Newmarket shopkeepers and two constables that accused did no work and repeatedly made a nuisance of himself in Newmarket by cadging money and food. He was addicted to excessive drinking. It was stated by counsel that accused shad informed him that ho had an opportunity of employment out of Auckland &nd would take advantage of it if given chance. The magistrate, Mr. Wt R. McKean, demanded accused until this morning. Bail >as not sought,-
