ROCKET AEROPLANE
SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT HERLIN. Ort. % A rocket aeroplane. I Oft. high, has been successfully tested at the Templehof Aerodrome. It rose to an altitude of 2625 ft. The wings then automatically unfolded, and the aeroplane reached the earth safely, a quarter of a mile away -from the starting point. Ilerr Tilling, inventor of the rocket, hopes to seen re stratospheric records and to be able to convey mails rapidly over long distances with aercplanes made on the same principle. He declares that it is possible to control the direction of rocket aeroplanes, which may ultimately carry passengers.
