NOTES FROM THE TRACK SOME IMPRESSIVE DISPLAYS [by telegraph—own correspondent] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday Track conditions at Addington to-day wera excellent and a good deal of fast work was accomplished. The best trial was provided by W. J. Tomkinson's team, Wilma Dillon, Biddy Parrish, Indianapolis and Wrecker. All four went beautifully from start to finish and seldom has an unhoppled trotter given a better exhibition than did Biddy Parrish who went a mile and a-half in 3.20 3-5. It will take a good one to beat her in th« Dominion Handicap. Indianapolis, too. gave a fine display of pacing and appeared ™ to be going only half pace at the finish, -g He is now a warm favourite for the Derby j and his connections have every reason to be pleased with his work up to date. Two Derby candidates in Rey Direct and Golden Direct worked a mile and a-half in 3.24 2-5. the last mile in 2.13. Both went nicely and are going to add interest to the classic. Gold Tinge has made great improvement in the last few months and shs went two miles very pleasingly in 4.32. _ Stanley T. went the first mile and a-half of two miles in 3.25 and pulling up completed the full journey in 4.36. It was a grand displuy of tllortless trotting and even givinst away 7_ . aids in the Dominion Handicap he should be prominent. Hs is in great fettle. _ .. Kohaxa was sore after going two miles in 4.23 and he was all out to do it. His display was not at all impressive. , Ronald Derby pleased by the manner in which he went a mile in 2.1G 1-5 with Great Author. Great Parrish and Auto Machine travelled a mile and a-half in 3.22, the last half-mile taking 1.4 3-5. Both horses _ were doing it evenly and well at the finish. Great Parrish is very much improved. Rollo, Colorado, Tempo and Belinda were associated in a trial over two miles. Rollo finishing in front in 4.37 from Colorado who finished at a great pace. The last, mile took 2.14 but the time could have' been improved upon. Rollo is in first-class order and Colorado is improving. Belinda could have done better. AUCKLAND CANDIDATES LEAVE PETER PIRATE AND REAL GIRL The Te Awamutu trainer E. X. Kennerley left for Addington on Mondar with Peter Pirate and Real Girl, who will fulfil their engagements at the New Zealand Trotting Cup meeting. Both pacers are in good condition and have come through a solid racing campaign in good 6tyle. Real Girl has raced consistently over short courses, while Peter Pirate has recently displayed high-class form over 'all distances. It will not be for lack of condition if the two fail to race, prominently at Addington. It 13 quite on the cards that Real Girl will remain in tho South Island after the cup meeting.
