HALLOWE'EN PARTY

ST. CUTHBERT'S OLD GIRLS THE BENEVOLENT FUND Tho spirit of Hallowe'en was well carried out in tho decorations at the dance given by tho St. Cuthbert's Old Girls' Association at the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening. Black cats, witches, owls and bats were everywhere to be seen and over the standard lamps huge pumpkins carved to show slit eyes and mouths gave a very startling effect. In the shadows of a doorway, loomed a skeleton and grouped about the dance floor, four white-robed ghosts added to the weirdness of tho scene. A mystery tent, hung with grey curtains and black bats was a continual source of interest and a mystery box displaying lucky numbers was kept very busy. All kinds of novelties were distributed, these including witches' hats, popcorn, nuts and apples. Tho members of the orchestra were also dressed as witches. Later in tho evening a dance entitled " The Spirit of Hallowe'en " was given by Mardi Brooke and was enthusiastically received.
