ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

DIVISION AT THAMES CISY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORIvESI'ONPENTI THAMES, Monday A division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was formed at a public meeting held at Thames on Saturday evening. The meeting was addressed by (lie commissioner, Mr. 0. J. Tanks, and there was a good attendance of those interested in the work of the brigade. The Mayor, Mr. S. Ensor, presided. With the commissioner were, the corps superintendent, Mr. C tiooderham, and the chief transport oificcr. Mr. S. E Langstone. The following committee was appointed to carry out the preliminary work:—Mesdames Wilson. Favnp, Ensor, Messrs. N. .Tonassen, P. J. ITosking, J. Phillips, J. Bailey, J. 11. M. Finlayson, and W. B. McDonald, and the Mayor, ex oflicio At a subsequent meeting of the committee, Mr. Phillips was appointed chairman, and Mr. Hosking secretary.
