COST OF ADDITIONAL PLANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN BOARDS Ail agreement between (lie Auckland Electric-Power Board and the Transport Board on tlie question of responsibility for capital costs incurred in providing equipment for the supply of power for traction purposes was reached yesterday, when the Power Board accepted an offer made by the Transport Board. The Transport Board stated that it would agree to increase its minimum annual consumption of 18.000.000 units by 50.000 units for every £IOOO of capital expenditure on additional plant required for tramvav supplies, or alternatively would pay the capital charges on such expenditure. Previously the Power Board had asked for an increase in the minimum of 70,000" units for every £IOOO expended. After a motion to defer consideration of the matter had been defeated, the Power Board accepted the offer. The general manager. Mr. R. 11. Bartley, reported that specifications had been prepared and tenders called for the supply of a "booster" sot, to he installed at the Ilobson Street station to improve the supply of power on the llobson Street, and Victoria Street West tramway services.
