YESTERDAY'S WEATHER
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH Auckland.—A light south-west wind and fine weather prevailed yesterday. The barometer was rising during the morning and was steady at 29.93 in. after mid-day. Wellington.—The sky was overcast yesterday morning, but later the sun shone brightly. There was a fresh northerly breeze, carrying heavy clouds. Christchureh.—Dull weather was experienced yesterday, with a strong breeze from the east. The maximum temperature was 55 degrees. The barometer recorded 29.59 in. at, 5 p.m. and was falling. Dunedin.—The weather yesterday was fine and pleasant, with bright sunshine in the morning, and cloudy conditions in the afternoon. A fresh breeze from the north-east was blowing. The maximum temperature was 61 degrees, "lhe barometer was unsteady, and the reading ia the evening was 29.79 in.
