WHITE PAINT AND CHINTZ
An ,old-fashioned scheme of decoration was chosen by Sir Gerald du Maurier's daughter who recently married, for her little Georgian house in HampEtead. All the rooms are white, to give a greater effect of space, and lightness, and in the two principal rooms a simple form of panelling, covered with glossy ■white paint, is used for the walls. The curtains are calendered chintz, with narrow ruffled edgings, and in the bedrooms these match the draped valances of the beds.
