STRANGE FREAK EGG
A freak egg was shown lately at a Chester market. The egg was laid by a hen owned by Mr. William France, a smallholder, and has the outline and Roman numei'als of a watch. The face is clearly raised on the shell. Even the minute divisions are perfect, and there if a deep impression & rresponding to the winder of the watch. There has been no explanation of the freak, and no sign that' the egg was tampered with after the hen laid it. Farmers offered fancy prices for it.. ' :
