MOTOR BAN OF 25 YEARS
At tho ago of 20, Frederick Thomas George Grant, motor-driver, of Canning Town, has been banned by a magistrate from driving a motor-vehicle again until ho is 45. He was fined £3 3s, -with £5 5s costs, at Woolwich, for driving a motorvan in a dangerous manner and was disqualified from driving for 25 years. It was stated that Grant's van swerved across tho road, mounted tho pavement, knocked down a lamp standard, and fatally injured Albert Ernest Kirby, aged 30. Grant declared tliut as he was driving he received a jar which wrenched the steering-wheel out of his hand, lie had a bump on the head from a ledge in his cabin, and he remembered no more until he recovered consciousness in hospital and read a newspaper report of the accident.
