CENTENARIAN'S ADVICE
A centenarian doctor named Giovanni Gortani, of Aquiloia, in the north of Italy, offers cheerful advice to those desirous of passing their hundredth milestone. His proscription may be summed up in tho comforting words, " Never go without what you want." To deprive the body of the satisfaction, of any legitimate appetite, says the doctor, is an error. " To abstain from food when hungry, to refuse a good glass of wine when thirsty, to say ' No, thank you! ' to a good cigar for fear of the nicotine bogey --this," the doctor says, " is behaviour calculated to harm the human organism." At the same time ho is opposed fo the abuse of the good things of life.
