CROPS AT TAURANGA
MAIZE-PLANTING STARTED [prom our own corrkrpondent] TAURANGA, Friday The cutting o^ lucerne stands has commenced in the Tauranga district about a fortnight earlier than last year. Most farmers are converting the first cut into ensilage. The stands are well shot at the crown for the second gi'owth. The weather has now become settled and the planting of maize crops is in full swing all over the district and At Matakana and Motiti Islands.
