FANCY-DRESS DANCE
FINAL SOCIAL EVENING To conclude the social evenings which have been held throughout tho winter months in connection with St. Paul's Anglican Church, a well-attended fancy-dress dance was held at the Milford Surf Club's Hall last evening. Flags and streamers on the walls made effective decorations. Tho danco music was supplied by a panatrope and incidental music was played by Mrs. Scales. Among those in fancy costumes were:— Mrs. Teasdale, who represented an Early Victorian lady; Mrs. Slarkie, oldfashioned girl; Mrs. C. H. Kingsford, "Madame Butterfly"; Mrs. Clouslon, Indian squaw; Mrs. Nash, Hawaiian girl; Mrs. J. Manner, Dutch girl; Mrs. Sherlev, Spanish ladv; Mrs. Taylor. Queen of Sheba; Mrs. T. Mowbray, black and gold pierrot; Mrs. M. .T. McLeod. "Lady Teazle"; Mrs. C. Woods, scarlet pierrette; Mrs. Owen Lyle, "powder and patches" : Miss Leslie Wood, a Gipsy; Miss Joan
Brown, pierrot; Miss Sylvia Scales, Haroom lady; Miss Vera Parsons, West Indies girl; Miss Curtiss, nurse; Miss Bakewell, cowgirl; Miss Helen Kcll, mascot; Miss Joan McLeod, "1815"; Miss Sunday Mowbray, English country girl; Mr. Teasdale, shiek; Mr. B. Kingsford. a Coster; Mr. 0. Wood, a. yellow and black pierrot. Among others present were:—Mrs. D. M. Davidson, who woro a frock of black georgette, with green relief; Mrs. L. J. Minogue, Persian rust georgette; Mrs. A. Alien, scarlet georgette, with silver lame coatee; Mrs. Cecil Eaton, daffodil satin with black relief; Mrs. A. Browne, black georgette with rhinestono trimming; Mrs. Wright, Naples blue ninoii; Mrs. Sands, almond green crepe, fleuri; Mrs. Scales, black taffeta and lace; Mrs. C. Waterhouse, applo green floral iaffeta; Mrs. Duckworth, black lace; Miss Goldshorough, apple green satin.
