DERAILMENT OF TRUCKS
RAILWAY TRAFFIC BLOCKED SHUNTING MISHAP AT PENROSE Suburban railway passengers were delayed from 15 minutes to half an hour yesterday morning when a minor shunting mishap occurred at Penrose- station just before seven o'clock. The up and down main lines wore completely blocked. Waggons were being shunted on the main line into the station yard, when the three leading ones were derailed and they covered both sets of rails. Two hours elapsed before the line was cleared, and six of the up suburban trains and four down trains were delayed. The derailment necessitated passengers being transferred at. Penrose. The cause of the mishap was apparently duo to the points being thrown over while the shunting train was passing over them. The derailed waggons were placed on the line by a maintenance gang and the Hue was cleared at' 8.50. Only slight damage was dono to the track by the waggons.
