PICKED AGAINST ENGLAND COMING MELBOURNE MATCH (Received October 10, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct, 10 . Don Brad man yesterday led a cricket team against an eleven under the captaincy of the wicketkeeper Love. Bradman's side scored 374 runs for six wickets, of which Bradman made 145 and W. Brown 73. Love's team was then dismissed for 103. Adrian took six wickets for 30. Bradman's team won on the first innings by 271 with four wickets in hand. Bradman lias been included in the Australian team to play against England at Melbourne on November 18. Chosen by the Victorian selectors, and approved by tho test match selectors, this side will comprise:—Woodfull, Ponsford, Ironmonger, Darling, Nash (Victoria), Bradman, Kippax, McCabc, Oldfield (Now South Wales), Oxenham (Queensland) and Lee (South Australia), with Rigg (Victoria) as twelfth man. DETERMINED STAND WILL WRITE FOR THE PRESS (Received October 16, 10.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 16 Bradman is reported to have stated to a representative of a Sydney newspaper: "I am going to Perth to play against the Englishmen. I shall take my fountain pen as well as my bat and I intend to write about tho match, come what may. The next move is with the Board of Control. "I made a big monetary sacrifice when I declined tho offer from the Accrington XJlub and a journalistic position was made for me here. Now I am told I cannot fulfil the promises I made to secure that position."
