TEXTILE INDUSTRY OPTIMISTIC PREDICTION (Received October 16, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 15 Mr. Cyril Underwood, the new president of the Bradford Wool Association, in addressing a general meeting of that body, predicted brighter times for the textile industry. The speaker said that for some years he had been very pessimistic, but he thought that from now on there would bo an improvement. He would not prophesy a boom or a period of big profits, but business was still there for up-to-date firms, keen salesmen and those who were prepared to work hard.
