PHILISTINES' CLUB
There was a very large attendance of members and their friends at the Philistines' Club evening 011 Saturday. Sir. J. W. Wilson was chairman, and with him was Sirs. Wilson, who wore a frock of cream, pink and green sprigged taffeta. Tho first part of the evening's entertainment was given by tho "Co-optimists" under the direction of Sir. George Sloody. It consisted of choruses and sketches, the performers being Sirs. 11. Lock, Sirs. A. Prentice, Sliss G. Wilson, Sliss G. Slacinnoy, Sliss 1. Masker, Sliss Cynthia Lambert, Sliss H. Slorsc, Sliss G. Warren, Sliss P. Cutting, Sir. SI. Alexander, Sir. 11. Lock, Sir. A. Prentice, Sir. A. Walton, Sir. J. Odlin, Mr. J. Smith, Sir. J. Stokes, Sir. G. Sloody and Sir. SI. Clarke. Other items were given by Sirs. Clarke, Sliss Hilda Slorsc and Sir. S. SI. Knight. Two sketches, "Fairy Talcs" and "Honor's Last Act," were also enjoyed. Taking part in tho first were:—Sirs. Jock Allen, STr. W. Russell Wood and Sir. G. Laird, in the second were Sliss A. Deacon, Sliss Maisic Free, Sliss Slyrtlo Burns, Sir. George Sloody and Sir. Jack Parsons.
