Mrs. Widlake, of Suva, is staying at Royal Court. Mrs. H. Haszard, of .Waihi, is staying at Royal Court. Miss D'Arcy Jones, of Auckland, is staying at Cainbridgo. Mrs. H. Baker, of Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs. J. Beale, Mount Eden. Miss Betty Parr returned on Saturday by the limited express from the South. Mrs. Cecil Trevithick is leaving to-day for a visit to Christchurch and Dunedin. Mrs. Nigel Wrightson, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. A. H. Magson, Orakei Road, Remuera, has returned to Cambridge. Lady Hcrdman and Miss Joyce Herdman, who have been staying at the Midlaud Hotel, Wellington, will return to Auckland to-morrow evening. The annual conference of tho various organisations associated with the Auckland branch of the Plunket Society has been fixed for the 27th and 28th inst. Tho Northcote Welfare League, of which Mrs. 11. Martin (Mayoress) is the president, has gone into recess for the summer months. Attention will meanwhile be given by the president and secretary to necessary business. Tho bridge circle of the Lyceum Club held an open evening on Friday in the club lounge, at which a lax-go number of members and their friends were present. The hostesses at each table were: Mrs. J.
