SUPREME COURT
FOURTH CRIMINAL SESSIONS OPENING NEXT WEEK The fourth and final session for the year of the Supreme Court will open in Auckland on Tuesday, October 25, before Mr. Justice Herdman and Mr. Justice Smith. So far 17 cases have been set down for trial in the criminal sessions, which precede the civil business, but the list will be added to during the present week. Twenty-two persons are involved in the charges, which include one of murder, one of administering poison, one of perjury, one of attempting to injure by using an explosive, and one of negligent driving so as to cause death. There are four charges of theft or breaking and entering and theft, three of rape or attempted rape, and three of other sexuaj offences.
